Leading for the First Time
Because becoming a manager is more than getting a promotion. - 1262 Eysins
Being promoted into management is exciting, but it also changes everything.
The skills that made you a great individual contributor are no longer enough. You're now expected to lead people, make decisions, give feedback, delegate, manage conflict and build trust, often with very little preparation.
Leading for the First Time is a facilitated discussion and learning circle designed specifically for first-time managers navigating this transition.
Each session combines a practical leadership insight with peer discussions around real management situations brought by participants.
Together, we'll explore topics such as:
- Making the transition from colleague to manager
- Building credibility and trust
- Delegating with confidence
- Giving constructive feedback
- Managing difficult conversations
- Setting expectations and accountability
- Managing priorities and workload
- Developing your own leadership style
This is not a traditional management course.
It's a confidential space where new managers learn from experienced leaders and from one another, leaving each session with practical ideas they can apply immediately.
